Confirmed Conventions:

I'm a British Illustrator and character designer. Graduated in Computer Animationand went on to become the head of design for a leading digital marketing agency before deciding to focus on character design and digital illustration.I've worked on Animated TV series, Books, Music videos, Documentaries and online publications, with notable clients such as Spin Master (Creators of Paw Patrol & More), The British Council and The National Literacy Trust.I came up with the name during my DeviantArt years (2011-ish) It was only meant as a temporary place-holder until I could come up with a better one 😅 but a lot of people really liked the name, so I decided to stick to it.

The avatar I currently use on all my socials, was an homage to my fallen DnD character 'Fang'. The character was part Harengan (Rabbitfolk) and although I didn't plan to replicate her design completely, I did want to use aspects of her look applied to a male character, creating 'Guy'.It may sound strange to some, but not being the most outgoing person around, Fang gave me a lot of confidence whenever I used to play as her, and I wanted to remember what she did for me by keeping her alive in the other parts of my life 😊 (even though I later found out that she didn't ACTUALLY die in the game....thanks GM).

For DnD or Tabletop Character Commissions, you can use the link below for more details:

How Does It Work?

  1. Your Character - Start by telling me about your D&D character. Share details like appearance, race, class, personality etc. I’ll provide a quote for the commission which you can pay a 50% deposit to secure or alternatively can pay the full amount (be sure to check that commission slots are available first)

  2. Drafts - We’ll work together on drafts to capture your vision. Once you’re satisfied with the draft, we’ll move on to the next step.

  3. Bring Your Character to Life - In the final step, I’ll paint your character and bring your vision to life. You’ll receive the full-resolution images, once you’ve paid the remaining amount, including any revision fees and out of scope work.

How Much Will It Cost?

Pricing varies with time, complexity, and revisions. Simple full-body, full-colour character commissions will average at approx. £150 per Character. For precise quotes or group commissions, reach out at [email protected].

How Long Will It Take?

I will make every effort to try and get your commission completed in a timely manner. In most cases, a commission can be completed within 2 weeks, taking into account revisions and more, in some instances this can be done in a matter of days. Although it isn't usually the case, I do ask that all customers allow up to 6 weeks for completing their art commission.

How Do I Get Started?

Secure the commission buy clicking on the payment on this page. Once your commission slot is paid and secured, send me an email at [email protected] with your commission request and a detailed description of your character. You can also attach your character sheet and any reference images you feel might help give a clearer picture of your character.

What Should I Include In The Email?

You should include your characters:

  • Race
    Human, Elf, Gnome, Dragonborn etc.

  • Gender

  • Height/Size & Build
    [.g. Small 3ft Slender, Medium 6ft 2 Muscular

  • Class
    Rogue, Barbarian, Warlock etc.

  • Physical Description
Describe in detail what your character looks like: facial features, scars, clothing/armor, what kinds of weapons they have etc. Feel free to include any reference images to help illustrate your point.

  • (optional) Personality
I like to try and capture the characters personality in each image through their expressions and body language, you can tell me a little about how they behave, examples of things they've done etc. e.g. "very closed off and secretive, keeping their emotions in check" or "happy-go-lucky and excitable, jumping head-first into any situation". You can also give me any specific poses you have in mind too.

  • (optional) References
Feel free to include any reference images you feel that might help build a clearer image of what your character might look like, their face, clothing, armour, weapons etc.

  • (optional) Character Sheet
As your character sheet will likely contain alot of information about your character, it may be helpful to include this in your commission request

Fee free to also include any additional information you feel is relevant to bringing your character to life. Please don't feel like you need to include all of this information, even something as simple as "a tiefling version of Aragorn" can be enough to go on, but generally speaking, most players will have an image in their minds as to what their character looks like and I'd like to try my best to make that a reality. If you have any other questions or queries, feel free to get in touch. Thanks

Guy
